DC previews Batman: The Detective comic release

DC released a preview of its upcoming Batman: The Detective comic on Friday, giving eager fans a chance to see Batman’s latest adventure, a few days early.

Written by Tom Taylor, Andy Kubert and Brad Anderson. Batman: The Detective follows the caped hero to London, where he is on the trail of a mysterious new villain.

Before long, Bruce finds himself at the centre of an unravelling mystery, which all begins with a personal turn of events.

The first release of the comic is on April 13th, but DC is providing fans with a sneak peek at the first seven pages of the comic book.

36,000 Feet Up

The first comic in the Batman: The Detective mini series starts 36,000 feet up in the air. Readers are introduced to Tristessa, an air hostess with a grudge against Batman. After she finishes counting the number of passengers on board,Tristessa and an accomplice set off a bomb.

This is where we are introduced to the second character in the miniseries, Beryl Hutchinson who is known as Knight in the Prime Earth Universe. Beryl takes on Tristessa, before the two go tumbling to earth in a tussle.

We won’t spoil how the preview ends, but it’s definitely got us excited for what the rest of the mini series might hold.

Conceptually Unique

Batman: The Detective is still a few days away, but it’s unique concept holds a lot of promise. Some of the most interesting Batman stories involve Gotham or Wayne coping with unusual circumstances.

In the past we saw Gotham struck with a 7.6 strength earthquake, Bruce developed a drug addiction and there was even that one time he tormented an orphan. While the more unusual stories haven’t aged too well, it’s always the interesting concepts that bring something new out of the veteran DC hero.

However the mini series turns out, there’s only a few days to go. If you’d like to take a look at the preview of Batman: The Detective please click here.
