Cyberpunk 2077 Steam issues: What to do if the game won't download on Steam

Lots of people are very excited to be jumping into Nighty City and doing all sort of future stuff.

A big part of the game is fighting back against evil corporations who only care about money and not people, and will happily use people just to get more money. What a horrifying idea.

Well, part of the game also involves the digital world, and it turns out that that aspect is playing up in real life too.

For one, sometimes the game just stops downloading, or at least it appears that way. Here's what you need to know.

Why does Steam stop downloading Cyberpunk 2077?

As annoying as this glitch seems, it's actually more of a show than an actual issue.

That's not to say that sometimes Steam won't download Cyberpunk 2077 properly, because these issues can occur, but just that it's more likely to be a display issue on Steam, as they've explained in a tweet.

As you can see, it's not something to worry about too much.

How to fix this issue with Steam not downloading Cyberpunk 2077

In the event your game really isn't installing or downloading correctly, then there are a couple of fixes you can try to get things going.

For starters, make sure your internet connection is still going strong. Restart your router if you're worried it's plotting against you.

Next, make sure there's enough room for the game to download fully. If there's been an error with the storage then you might have an issue.

Finally, pause and restart the download. If this doesn't seem to be working, it might be necessary to cancel the download completely and then start it again.
