Cyberpunk 2077 has launched and, providing your on PC, is mostly playable.
It's kind of a mess, to be honest, and there are a bunch of issues surrounding the game that mean it's really not what a lot of people wanted from it.
That's without mentioning issues with marketing, the way it got certified on console, and a few other issues like crunch too.
We're not talking about those in this article though, we're just going to try and fix one of the game-stopping bugs for you.
What is the Cyberpunk 2077 The Pickup bug?
This is a bug that occurs when people get to a mission called The Pickup (hence the name).
It's one that has Jackie, your faithful partner in crime, disappearing without a trace and not being where they're meant to be. Unsurprisingly, this causes some issues because you can't advance the game without speaking to them.
Naturally, this is pretty annoying, and you'll want to get it sorted as soon as you can so that you can keep playing the game.

How to fix the Cyberpunk 2077 The Pickup bug
Well, the good news is that there is a fix, but the simplest one is to load an earlier save, so hopefully you have one.
Of course, there's also a video on this from Gameplay Fanatic, which you can watch for a fix too:
If this doesn't work, then you can try calling Jackie on your phone, resetting the game, resetting your console, and just going to do another quest.
While all of these might fix the issue, there are no guarantees at all. Just make sure you constantly make a lot of different save files and you should be able to deal with the awkward bugs.
