Cities Skylines 2 PS5

The Cities: Skylines 2 sequel is coming soon and fans are thrilled with how the game is shaping up. We know the city-building sim will be available on PC, but a Cities: Skylines 2 PS5 version will only add to the hype behind the game.

The developers behind Cities: Skylines 2 have been keeping busy lately, sharing new features like providing your city with internet services and the ability to mix aesthetics for your different zones.

But will PlayStation 5 owners be able to experience these new city management mechanics? Read on to find out if the Cities: Skylines 2 PS5 release is going to be a thing.

Will Cities: Skylines 2 be on PS5?

Yes, Cities: Skylines 2 will be available on the PS5.

In fact, both the Standard Edition and Ultimate Edition are currently available for pre-order on the console. The Cities: Skylines 2 pre-order bonus will include a set of unique landmark buildings for you to use in your city.

The game will launch simultaneously on all supported platforms on October 24, 2023.

Will Cities: Skylines 2 have cross-save progression?

Being able to play one save file across multiple platforms is something a lot of players look for in certain games. Unfortunately, nothing has been confirmed about this feature being in Cities: Skylines 2 yet.

Don’t get your hopes up though, because the first Cities: Skylines game did not have cross-progression. That means that if you start building a city on PC, you’ll only be able to progress that city on PC.

So, think twice and maybe wait for further announcements before going out and buying two copies of the game.

And that’s it for Cities: Skylines 2 coming to the PS5. While you’re here, you might also want to check out whether or not this highly anticipated city builder will have a co-op mode.
