Call of Duty is one of the biggest franchises in the world. Every year a new entry comes out and takes over nearly everything and we all get sucked into whatever it brings.
That's been the case for an awfully long time in gaming, so much so that a lot of people are also kind of sick of it publically, despite probably playing it privately.
It turns out that domination of the gaming world isn't enough for this franchise though, and that there will, at some point, be a movie too.
So, here's everything we know so far about the Call of Duty movie.
Call of Duty movie release date
We're starting off with bad news, unfortunately.
Back in February, the Call of Duty movie was put hold indefinitely. The director, Stefano Sollima, said that the project had completely "stood still" and that it's no longer a priority of Activision.
That doesn't mean that the movie has been cancelled though, it just means that it's not being worked on at all at the moment, which could mean a whole host of things.
It definitely means that a release date is incredibly far off, but hopefully the project will get more attention again at some point.

Call of Duty movie trailer
As you might expect, the lack of production means a lack of trailer.
Maybe you could just watch the latest Call of Duty trailer and pretend that it's for a movie instead? The graphics are getting pretty good.

Call of Duty movie cast
As a result of the state of the film, there's no cast yet either.
We know that the director is Stefano Sollima, and we also know that he wrote a script alongside Scott Silver, of Joker fame.
