While the original game may be a cult classic, Bulletstorm VR looks to be one of the most exciting story-focused FPS games in virtual reality, with a kickass good time for those hoping to either return to Stygia, or make their debut trip there.

If you're hoping to pull off some incredible trickshots while hunting down your ex-boss on a harsh alien planet, then Bulletstorm VR may just be a game you'll want to pick up. But when does it launch? Find everything there is to know about the game in our guide containing all the intel.

Bulletstorm VR release date

Bulletstorm VR is set to release on January 18, 2024 on PC via Steam, Meta Quest, and PSVR 2. The release date was confirmed following a short delay from its original December 2023 release for the developers to use the "extra time to continue improving the experience to ensure that Bulletstorm VR lives up to the high standards".

The game was originally announced in June 2023, and considering the original never saw a sequel due to a lack of sales, it's surprising that the game is returning for a third time. However, those returning to the Bulletstorm can expect exclusive content for the VR version of the title.

Bulletstorm VR price

Bulletstorm VR will be available for $39.99 / £32.99 on PSVR 2 and $39.99 / £29.99 on the Meta Quest store. Steam prices haven't been confirmed just yet, but we expect it to release at the same price. Those with Meta headsets can pre-order the game with a 10% discount ahead of release.

Unfortunately, there's no pre-order for the game on Steam, which likely means that there'll be a short discount period following Bulletstorm VR's launch on the storefront. However, don't forget that you can always pair your Meta Quest 3 with Steam for the best way to play the game. Or use the Steam Link app on Meta Quest too.

Bulletstorm VR gameplay

For those unaware, Bulletstorm VR will see you play as the mercenary Grayson Hunt as you traverse a dangerous uncharted planet in order to enact revenge against your former boss. Bulletstorm VR offers chaotic and fast-paced gunplay with a focus on trickshots and ridiculous kills to gain points to upgrade your gear.

The exclusive content for the VR version of the game includes two new levels where you play as Trishka Novak, including wielding two energy blades in order to carve your enemies into dust.

That's everything you need to know about the upcoming return of the cult classic game. If you've been waiting for a solid narrative-focused experience, this game is for you.
