According to information obtained by WeGotThisCovered, Lucasfilm is interested in bringing The Manadalorian’s Bo-Katan to movie screens.
Originally introduced in Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Bo-Katan had her first live-action appearance in The Mandalorians second season.
According to WeGotThisCovered’s source, Bo-Katan who is played by Katee Sackhoff will make her way to movie screens. It’s unknown how and when this will happen.
The Mandalorian features its own big-screen cameo in the form of Luke Skywalker, when he featured during season two.
Projects in development
Disney has several cinematic projects in development, so Bo-Katan could appear in a number of different ways.
There’s a four-year time difference between The Mandalorian and the upcoming Andor film. Meaning Bo-Katan could appear in the next major Star Wars film when Andor releases next year.
It’s also possible that Bo-Katan could appear in the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi TV series. Although she has no affiliation with the Sith or Jedi, she works with Obi-Wan Kenobi in The Clone Wars. It’s possible the Obi-Wan series could revisit their relationship, if only in flashbacks.
The announced Lando series could also be a great opportunity for Bo-Katan to appear. The movie will reportedly switch between different timelines, so it wouldn’t be impossible for her to appear in the later timeline.
A fan favourite
Bo-Katan first appeared in the fourth season of Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Voiced by Katee Sackhoof, she would go on to voice the role again in Star Wars Rebels.
In 2019, Sackhoof announced she was going to portray the character in the upcoming The Mandalorian series.
Speaking about the role with Michael Rosenbaum, Sackhood said she “ had hoped to play the character in live action, but expected that the role would go to someone more famous like Scarlett Johansson.
