The upcoming Black Panther and Captain America game just got a boost, hiring a former God of War Ragnarok developer to work on level design. Already helmed by iconic former Uncharted director Amy Hennig at the helm, a massive batch of PlayStation’s star developers are working on the game.

Funnily enough, this isn’t the first time a God of War Ragnarok developer has made the news for being in a superhero game. Monolith’s upcoming Wonder Woman game recently hired Mila Pavlin, who will be working on the title’s accessibility features. Needless to say, it seems that superhero games are in good hands.

We’re still waiting for the day when Marvel Games will announce the release date for this still-unnamed Black Panther and Captain America game. Until that happens, we’re confident that this game will be something special, given the unique WW2 setting and multiple playable heroes.

Elizabeth Wright will be the Senior Level Designer for Marvel’s Black Panther and Captain America game. The news was unveiled on Twitter, where Wright confirmed she was working on this game with Amy Hennig. It's great news all around since the game should have some competent, maybe even good, levels to play through.

It seems that Wright has quite the pedigree in video games, not only working on God of War Ragnarok but also Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order. While the God of War game had levels that were decent enough to go through, Fallen Order had much more interesting areas ripe for exploration.

Right now, it’s not yet clear what kind of game this Marvel title will be. Given the limited amount of characters – Black Panther, Captain America, a random soldier, and a Dora Milaje – it seems to be a single-player adventure and was hinted as such. The game’s story will also be inspired by Captain America and Black Panther: Flags of Our Fathers, a four-issue comic series also set in WW2.
