The PS5 console is rolling out around the world, so you might be sat there wondering which headset is the best one to use with the console.
After all, Sony has made a big deal about 3D Audio, the incredibly multidirectional new sound system which is baked into the console on a hardware level.

Which headsets work with PS5 3D Audio?
Sony has made its own headset, called the Pulse 3D headset, which is specifically designed to match up with PS5 3D Audio output (you can click here to see if it's in stock at Amazon right now).
"The PULSE 3D wireless headset has been engineered to take full advantage of PS5’s 3D Audio capabilities," Sony says on an FAQ page. "With a refined design, dual noise-cancelling microphones, and an array of easy-access controls, the PULSE 3D wireless headset offers a seamless experience."
However, the Pulse 3D headset is NOT the only headset which can output 3D Audio sounds. As Sony stresses, "Players can also experience 3D Audio on PS5 with a PS5-compatible headset that you may already own, either through the console’s USB connection, or by plugging an analog headset into the DualSense wireless controller’s 3.5mm headset jack."
Sony has confrimed that its PS4-era Gold Wireless Headset and Platinum Wireless Headset will both work on PS5 - you can click either of those links if you're thinking about buying one!
Or you could just connect whichever headphones you have lying around to the audio jack on your PS5 controller - the console should give you the best audio experience it can with whatever you give it.

Can you get PS5 3D Audio on TV speakers?
Sadly, you can't get 3D Audio onto your TV speaker set up right now - but that doesn't mean it won't be possible at a later date!
As Sony says, "TV speaker virtual surround sound won’t be available on launch day for PS5 but is planned for a future update."
For now, then, if you want to get a 3D Audio experience, it's probably best to link up those headphones!
