Baldur's Gate 3 max level: What is the maximum level in early access, and will it be going up?

With players going through Baldur's Gate 3 multiple times, we know an awful lot about the game.

One thing that newer players might want to know when planning their characters is just how powerful they can make them.

Planning your character in an RPG like this is a big part of the fun for a lot of people, and you can't do that without knowing how far you can go.

So, what is the max level in Baldur's Gate 3 at the moment, and will it be changing?

What is the max level in Baldur's Gate 3?

As it stands, the level cap in Baldur's Gate 3 is 4.

That's literally the highest peak you can reach at the moment, and that means you only need to plan your character up to that level for now.

You'll find the levels don't take that long to get if you go out and fight everything, so you'll be happy to know you can reach full power as long as you don't mind getting a little dirty.

Given that the game uses D&D rules, how likely is it that the level cap will go even higher, and if so, how high can we expect it to go?

Will the level be increasing in Baldur's Gate 3?

We can definitely expect the max level in Baldur's Gate 3 to increase.

It's most likely to happen when the new acts get added in (whenever that ends up being).

As it stands, we'd expect the next level cap to be 8 and the final one to go all the way up to 12.

While this isn't as high as you can go in D&D, it should give players plenty of tools to use to build their own characters and feel powerful in the game.
