Baldur's Gate 3 Divine Intervention Shadowheart

Much like every Dungeons and Dragons campaign, the latest RPG from Larian Studios offers you a unique experience with each playthrough. With so many decisions to make in the game, selecting one of your Baldur’s Gate 3 Divine Intervention choices could be one of those things that significantly alter the flow of your current journey.

In Baldur’s Gate 3, Divine Intervention is a cleric feature that allows you to select one of four different effects. Among your potential companions, Shadowheart is currently the only cleric.

This feature can only be used once throughout your entire playthrough, so we’ll help you go over your Baldur’s Gate 3 Divine Intervention choices carefully.

What does each Divine Intervention choice do?

Each option for Divine Intervention will provide your party with a boon by either aiding you in the heat of battle or providing your party with supplies for your journey. Here’s a more detailed look at each choice.

  • Golden Generosity: Receive a large number of potions and camp supplies.
  • Opulent Revival: Revive all fallen allies with half of their health.
  • Sunder the Heretical: Deal up to 80 damage with a single hit.
  • Arm Thy Servant: Receive the legendary Devotee’s Mace weapon.

To use Divine Intervention, you’ll need a cleric in your party to reach level 10. Once it is used, it will disappear from your action bar.

What is the best Divine Intervention effect?

There really isn’t a single best choice for Divine Intervention, it all depends on your current situation in your campaign. Many players are actually underwhelmed with Divine Intervention’s possible effects given it’s a one-and-done action.

The Devotee’s Mace is actually a pretty decent weapon, but there are better options out there. Some have used an exploit where they respec another party member into a cleric, use Divine Intervention to obtain the mace, then swap that ally back to their original class. Do take note though that you will only ever get a mace and not any other type of weapon.

Other players like to save Divine Intervention for an Opulent Revival as a sort of panic button in emergency situations. But again, the decision is entirely up to you.
