Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PC this week but Xbox players will have to wait longer for the RPG. It seems Larian Studios is making it up to Xbox players by bringing the first two games to Game Pass.
On Twitter, Game Pass Tracker revealed that Game Pass subscribers are getting push notifications for the first two Baldur’s Gate games. While the two games aren’t available yet, it seems that the plan is to make them playable in the service soon.
The tweet also pointed out how this happened with titles that ended up on Game Pass. Shadow Warrior 3 Definitive Edition was brought to Game Pass after a push notification told players about it. Expect the same thing to happen with these two classic RPGs.
Admittedly, both games are lacking compared to the upcoming Baldur’s Gate 3 but they’re still a good time. These two titles will be a good primer for fans who don’t know what to expect from the third installment.
Larian Studios announced early on that the Xbox version wouldn’t be coming with the PC or PS5 version. Since the studio wants to make the game playable on both Xbox Series X and S, they decided to delay this port.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is going to be a content-rich RPG at launch, promising fans hundreds of hours to play through. With 170 hours of cutscenes to watch and 17,000 endings to get, fans won’t be playing any other game for a while. There’s also the promise of bear sex, which is still driving the internet mad.
It’s not going to be a perfect experience for everyone, as the game is 150 GB and an SSD is recommended. Players also weren’t given the option to pre-load, due to the game originally being an Early Access title. Mods from the Early Access version also can’t be implemented at launch, though the devs promised to support future mods.
