Curious about what Assassin’s Creed Mirage multiplayer is going to play like? While throughout most of the Assassin’s Creed franchise, you carry out missions as a lone assassin, we know that playing with others is nothing new to the series.
Though Assassin’s Creed Valhalla was a purely single-player experience, Assassin’s Creed Unity introduced the series to co-op play. On the other hand, the very first iteration of Assassin’s Creed multiplayer came in the form of a competitive mode that pit other players against each other in Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood.
So, will we be getting an Assassin’s Creed Mirage multiplayer mode? Or should we just keep our hidden blades to ourselves with another exclusively single-player release? Let’s find out.
Does Assassin’s Creed Mirage have multiplayer?
No, Assassin’s Creed Mirage does not have any sort of multiplayer. This goes in line with the design of some of the more recent AC titles, like Valhalla and Odyssey being single-player only.
The last game in the series to include a multiplayer mode was Assassin’s Creed Unity, which was released all the way back in 2014. Unity also remains the only AC game with co-op multiplayer.
While AC Valhalla did not have a full-blown multiplayer mode, it did have an online aspect in its Jomsviking recruitment system. Through Jomsviking recruitment, you can create your very own warrior which will then be deployed out into the world where they can gain experience and level up.
Other Valhalla players can then encounter your Jomsviking and recruit them for their playthrough. It is not really a multiplayer system, but it was definitely the only thing resembling one in the series for a while. Still, a similar system hasn’t been confirmed for Mirage, so we don’t expect it to pop up.
Will Assassin’s Creed Mirage get multiplayer in the future?
Though games today always have a chance for significant changes through updates and DLC, a multiplayer mode for Assassin’s Creed Mirage still seems highly unlikely. Ubisoft has confirmed that they currently do not have any plans for any sort of Assassin’s Creed Mirage DLC.
However, there’s still hope for those who are looking to get back into some AC multiplayer action with Assassin’s Creed: Codename Invictus. Invictus is the working title of an upcoming Assassin’s Creed game that is said to be a standalone multiplayer installment.
And that wraps it up for Assassin’s Creed Mirage multiplayer. For more information on the game, feel free to check out its system requirements and Steam Deck performance.
