How to use Apple Music Sing on iPhone or iPad
Apple Music Sing is available to Apple Music subscribers worldwide. If you are running the latest version of iOS/iPadOS, you will be able to access the karaoke feature.
Assuming you have updated to the latest version, here is how to use Apple Music Sing to do karaoke on your iPhone or iPad:
- Open the Apple Music app.
- Play a song from the Apple Music catalogue.
- Tap the song that’s playing and then tap the Lyrics icon.
- Tap the Mic icon to sing along. To adjust the vocals, drag the slider up or down.
If you don't see the Mic icon, you're either using an unsupported iPhone or iPad, or Apple Music Sing might not be available for that song. In case the lyrics icon is greyed out, you’re playing a song that's not from the Apple Music catalogue, or lyrics aren’t available for that song.

How to use Apple Music Sing on Apple TV
To use Apple Music Sing, you need an Apple TV 4K (3rd generation) updated to the latest version of tvOS. Older generations of Apple TV are not supported.
Assuming you are running the latest version, here is how to use Apple Music Sing to do karaoke on your Apple TV 4K:
- Open the Apple Music app.
- Play a song from the Apple Music catalogue.
- On your Apple TV Remote, press the Menu button.
- If you don't see time-synced lyrics automatically, select the Lyrics button at the bottom of the screen.
- Select the Mic button to sing along. To adjust the vocals, press the volume button up or down on your Apple TV Remote.
If you don't see the Mic button, Apple Music Sing might not be available for that song. In case you don't see the Lyrics button, time-synced lyrics aren't available for that song. You can report missing or incorrect lyrics by going here.
