Apple's successful AirPods brand on wireless earphones appear to be making a striking return. Following on from the release of the Pro and Max models, Apple's unannounced AirPods 3 project doesn't bring any huge visual changes.
Rumours claim that Apple will announce the new earphones at their alleged event this month. Reportedly scheduled for March 23rd, this event may also see the reveal of the next line of iPad devices.
Update: AirPods 3 Images
Images of the Apple AirPods 3 earphones have leaked. Posted online by Twitter user LeaksApplePro, the wireless earbuds look identical to the leaked renders.
What do the AirPods 3 do different?
Reported by Gizmochina, the Apple AirPods 3 feature a tweaked design. Compared to prior models, the new generation earphones will have a shorter stem. Much like 2019's Pro upgrade, the new device will allegedly include replaceable ear tips.
The new AirPods are expected to include Active Noise Cancelling. Originally reserved for the Pro version of Apple's wireless earbuds, this technology will allow for more immersive sound in noisy environments.
What else is Apple working on?
Apple's upcoming projects are not well-guarded secrets. It's well known that the company is working on the next generation of Apple Silicon Macs. In addition, Apple's biggest project has been leaked numerous times.
The Apple Mixed Reality headset will be the company's debut into augmented and virtual reality hardware. Unfortunately, this exciting new hardware isn't expected to release until next year.
