Players have recently been reporting an increase in the incidence of Apex Legends error code Snake. When players have been hit with this error, they have been unable to play Apex Legends. While Apex Legends has its fair share of errors, error code Snake seems particularly egregious. Lots of players have been complaining volubly about being hit with this. Given it is often accompanied by a temporary ban on the game, this is perhaps understandable.
Today, we'll give you a run down on what Apex Legends error code Snake actually is, and what you might be able to do about it. Let's slither on into it.
How To Fix Apex Legends Temporary Ban Issue
Apex Legends error code Snake is typically associated with a temporary ban for players. So for those who feel they have been given a ban unfairly, it feels particularly unfair. Unfortunately though, your options on what to do about are slightly limited.
Based on the numerous questions on Twitter, and on the EA help pages, the advice from Ea is almost always the same:
Account bans aren't something we'll be able to help with here on Answers HQ. If you haven't already please get in touch with the Terms of Service team so they can review your account. They will need to see if the account ban can be lifted.

Essentially, if you believe you have been given a temporary ban incorrectly, then you still need to raise this with the Terms of Service team:
- You can contact them by visiting this page.
- Sign in to your EA Account that is banned.
- In the Email section, click on the plus sign to fill out the webform. Include as much information as possible.
The team will then investigate, and hopefully get back to you quickly with a response. They offer more information on how bans and suspensions work here.

What is Apex Legends Error Code Snake?
Aptly named, Apex Legends error code Snake usually occurs when someone has been kicked out of the game for cheating. Like a treacherous, limbless, ectothermic amniote vertebrate. However, according to the vocal complaints that have appeared on Twitter, many of these bans have been dished out unfairly, resulting in non-cheaters being unable to play the game.
The error code is a pretty simple one. Players who receive this see the following message:
Unable to connect [code snake]
The trigger for this specific error seems unclear at the moment. It has been known to slither out from under its rock in the past, and has previously been linked to big updates, or the launch of a new season. While Season 10 of Apex Legends has been ongoing for a while now, a quick glance at their Twitter feed indicates a huge number of problems. These range from server related issues, crashes and disconnects, and other unintended consequences. It's possible that any of the updates to fix these may have triggered other issues, such as incorrectly banning players.
At this stage, there is no clear explanation about error code Snake from the developers. We can only hope that they are working hard to resolve it. Unless it turns out that everyone playing Apex Legends is a big ol' cheat.
