AMD has announced the 'Big Navi' Radeon 6000 Series of GPUs, which includes the 6800, 6800 XT and 6900 XT. These, of course, are intended to rival NVIDIA's 30 Series line, which includes such powerful products as the RTX 3080.
Offering twice the performance over the latest games such as DOOM Eternal, Forza Horizon 4, Resident Evil 3 and more.Featuring 'Rage Mode', 'ATI Boost', 'Infinity Cache' and much more, it looks like the latest GPU wars have begun.

With that, here's a run-through of the latest news about the newly announced AMD 6000 GPU Series, as well as one unannounced series...
AMD Radeon RX 6700 XT leaks
The unannounced RX 6700 XT may be the GPU of choice for those wanting to overclock, as recent leaks suggest it will be able to clock at 2.95 GHz.
As reported from Igorslab, who recently received some BIOSes allegedly for the RX 6700 XT, the 'GFX Clock' limit on the 6700 XT is 2950 MHz - higher than the alleged 2.8 GHz threshold of the RX 6800 XT.
However, caution must be taken with these specs, as its likely that this 2.95 GHz limit would only be hit with some pretty impressive cooling system, possibly using liquid nitrogen, for example.
However, these specifications are sure to excite prospective RX 6700 XT owners, with the GPU offering strong competition to NVIDIA's mid-tier GeForce RTX 3060 Ti.
AMD Radeon 6000 Series specs and features
RDNA2 supports DirectX12 Ultimate, which enables ray-tracing, variable ray tracing, and much more.
There is a multiplier of 2 on the games compared to the previous 5700XT GPU. There's also Infinity Cache, which combines the Zen 3 CPU with the cache of the GPU.
There's also a one-click 'Rage' mode, which enables overclocking to the 6800XT in an instant.
This will pay off for players in terms of performance, and visuals as this following slide shows...

While AMD has announced cards for its 6800 and 6900 Series, we can also expect to see a range of RX 6700 graphics cards, including the Radeon RX 6700 XT and the Radeon RX 6700.
While little is known about this mid-range GPU, Patrick Schur recently shared some information on the expected power requirements of these new cards, which plan to use the Navi 22 GPU.
As for the release date of the Radeon RX 6700 Series, VideoCardz has reported that AMD expects to release the RX 6700 in January 2021, sooner than previously anticipated.
AMD Radeon 6000 Series Release Dates
- Radeon 6800 and the Radeon 6800XT - November 18th
