Conspiracy theories have been around the internet forever, let alone ones about AI-controlled robots secretly killing people, then replacing them. Unsurprisingly, a conspiracy theory about the aforementioned AI robots killing 29 Japanese scientists has gotten plenty of attention from netizens.
When it comes to these things, readers should take them with a grain of salt since they usually never come true. Unfortunately, conspiracy theories continue to be a popular pastime for many foil hat-wearing internet users, hence the recent coverage.
Are AI robots killing Japanese scientists?
Linda Moulton Howe, a journalist and conspiracy theorist, shared a conspiracy theory about AI robots killing Japanese scientists in 2017. Since this is the internet, many people have suddenly discovered it through a video and it has now gone viral.
"At a top robotics company in Japan this week, four robots being developed for military applications killed 29 humans in the lab,ā claims Howe. āAnd they did it by shooting what he called metal bullets. I didnāt know there was any other kind."
If that wasnāt ridiculous enough, Howe claims that three robots were out of commission but a fourth one revived them. Continuing on, Howe said: āThis is serious s*** Linda, but you're not going to hear about this in the news. The robotics company has too much to lose, and the government wants AI robot soldiers."
Obviously, this is something thatās hard to believe, but people are really getting into it for one reason or another. This is something most of us will have to get used to since plenty of people really like conspiracy theories.
