If you have no idea how to see retakes on BeReal, this guide will help you.
But is there a way to see the number of retakes you or your friend have taken? Turns out, there is and we're going to show you how to see retakes on BeReal.
How to see retakes on BeReal after the new update
One of the interesting features of BeReal besides its ability to notify screenshots is that it shows how many retakes it took you or your friend to get the picture you/they posted on BeReal.
Here is how to see retakes on BeReal:
- To see your friend's retakes on BeReal, tap the Add a comment... field or the comment icon on the right.
- To see your own retakes on Android, just tap on the picture you posted.
- Currently, it is not possible to see your own Bereal retakes on an iPhone.
It is worth mentioning that there is no way to hide your retakes on BeReal as of now. However, BeReal has plans to monetize the app soon and introduce exclusive features to its subscribers (one way for BeReal to make money).
Perhaps, the potential premium version of BeReal will come with the ability to hide the retake count on BeReal.

Why can't I see retakes on BeReal?
BeReal rolled out an update in October that changed the way you see retakes on BeReal.
Earlier, you could see the retake count by tapping the 3-dot icon, but now the retake count is shown when tapping the comment icon or the Add a comment... field.
This sudden UI change has confused many users. They thought the retake count feature was removed from the app, but that's not the case. The feature is still there, only how you access it has changed.
With the new update, BeReal made the retake count feature accessible to everyone. Earlier, the feature was locked for people with less than 10 friends on BeReal. Now everyone can access it.
