Microsoft announces Xbox Wireless Headset for March Release
Microsoft have announced their own dedicated headset just for gaming…
First a Nintendo Direct announcement, and now Microsoft enters the fray with their dedicated wireless gaming headset.
Announced today, the company are touting this as a headset just for gaming and gaming only, with many features tailored to this genre.
There’s been an explosion in demand for headsets, furthered by the last year of working from home, so this looks only to tempt those players more into a headset.
With that, here’s the features, pricing, and when you can expect to buy one.
The headset features Bluetooth 5.0, alongside Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone features to have the sound finely tuned to any game being played.
The right-earcup also has an adjustable method of changing the volume up and down, alongside the balance of the game and chat audio.
There’s also up to 15 hours of battery life, but if you need a quick charge, a half hour of charging brings 4 hours of battery, so a co-op match in Sea of Thieves would easily be covered.
The pricing is £89.99 in the UK, and $99.99 across the pond, a very competitive price for a headset like this which puts it against products from RAZER and SteelSeries in the same bracket.
The headset can be pre-ordered today from the Microsoft Store, with a release date of the 16th March.
