The tech specifications of GDP Win 4 have officially been released, and it appears to be a strong competitor to Valve's Steam Deck. This PSP-like handheld gaming console packs a number of interesting features and powerful hardware.

First off, this handheld is a powerhouse of tech. It boasts an AMD Ryzen 7-6800U processor with 8 cores and 16 threads, paired with an AMD Radeon 680M GPU (16 RDNA2-based CUs).

GPD Win 4 features 16/32 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 1TB/2TB of storage (M.2 NVMe SSD). It can run Windows 11 Home (64-bit), as well as Steam OS. This thing is a beast for sure.

On the other hand, Steam Deck is a bit of a beast itself but its specs aren't as beefy as the GPD Win 4. It has a Zen 2 processor with 4 cores and 8 threads and Steam Deck's GPU features 8 RDNA2-based CUs with a variable frequency of 1.0-1.6 GHz.

There are three different Steam Deck models available for purchase. The base Steam Deck model is $399, while the next-highest-priced model costs $529. The top variant is sold for $699.

GPD Win 4 costs $799 for the 16GB RAM/1 TB storage model and $1199 for the 32 GB of RAM/2 TB storage variant.

While Steam Deck is cheaper, GPD Win 4 for $800 is a great deal. For $150 extra, you get a better-performing device and an additional 512 GB of storage.

Under 1920×1080 resolution, AAA games are guaranteed to run at 45~60fps, claims the manufacturer. The company website revealed that FIFA 22 at Ultra settings will run at 100+FPS, while games like Elden Ring and Far Cry 6 will run smoothly at 60+FPS at medium settings.

The GPD Win 4 comes with a full-sized, concealed physical keyboard with dome-switch keys, whereas the Steam Deck only has a touch keyboard. A physical keyboard is pretty useful and convenient when you're using the device as a PC, so it's a great feature that many people really appreciate.

When all is said and done, the GPD Win 4 is better than Steam Deck. The performance and features of GPD Win 4 are superior to that of Steam Deck. That said, is it robust and reliable as Steam Deck? We don't know yet.

But what we know for sure is Steam Deck 2 will be better than GPD Win 4.
