Dyson Zone: Release Date Predictions, Specs, Price, and More

Recently, a surprise entry into the Dyson family was announced, The Zone, and we're all keen to know exactly when the release date is.

This time Dyson have outdone themselves with a device that delivers both ANC and air purifying, and we're predicting this may be one of the most in demand products of the year.

Let's take a closer look at everything we know so far, plus, when you could get your hands on it.

Dyson Zone Release Date Predictions

Now officially, Dyson is yet to confirm an exact release date, but reportedly they're looking to release the Dyson Zone towards Autumn 2022.

That sounds about right, considering it was only revealed in March 2022, which gives them around 6 months to build up to what we think will be a massive release.

But let's take a further look at the headphones themselves, and see what all the hype is about.

So it's all about the feature here, so let's take a close look at what we know so far.

Dyson Zone Air Purifier

Dyson has basically developed a system that sits in front of your airways, without touching them, and filters out pollutants you may encounter in everyday life. That can be anything from pollen to some of the more 'mainstream' fumes you'll come across when walking around the city.

Dyson make some of the best air purifiers around, so condensing the rather large units into some 'mouth and nose size' was a challenge.

Interestingly, in typical Dyson fashion, they've come up with an excellent solution.

The air purifying unit is elector static, which means that it attracts particles in the air. That means that it could made smaller so you can, well, see where you're walking!

It's also detachable, and snaps on and off via magnets. You can also pull it down to speak with someone should you wish, which will disable the fans so you can hear what they're saying.

The headphones themselves look impressive, if a little mysterious. They have ANC, active noise cancellation, and it looks to work in much the same way as usual, in the way that it uses external mics picking up sound that is then cancelled out by an algorithm.

But there are some more practical noise cancellation features too, such as sort of massive ear cup size and the use of certain materials to provide a snug fit and ensure no noise can escape.

Dyson Zone Wireless & Bluetooth

We're confident that this is a wireless pair of headphones from the various product shots, and we'd assume it will have the latest Bluetooth connection (5.0 in this case).

Dyson Zone Battery Life

This is something that hasn't been revealed just yet. but we predict it will be of great interest to many people considering The Zone.

Typically, battery life on wireless headphones is actually rather good. Sony's wireless headphones boast impressive capacity and can actually be fast-charged too.

But this is unknown territory. Just how much power do an air purifier use when blasting your favourite songs? It almost sounds like a riddle...

It looks like the Zone will give you around 1.5-4.5 hours of use depending on the level of air purification you're going for. For just headphone usage, it's said to give you the more standard 40+ hours.

It's also claimed to be able to get back up to 60% in just 20 minutes, a feature we image will be very much in use if for those on the go.

Dyson Zone Filters

Another factor to consider with any of the best air purifiers are filters, and how often you need to replace them.

We don't know how long the filters will last or how often they'll need to be replaced, which leads us nicely into just how much the Dyson Zone could end up costing...

Dyson Zone Price

No an official price hasn't been revealed just yet, but we'd predict that they're going to be on the pricey side.

High-end wireless headphones usually come in around $299, especially if they've got all the fast-charging capabilities and ANC that you'd want.

Dyson air purifiers start around the same price, which could mean that we get something around the $500 - $600 mark.

Now...that is pretty expensive, especially if it turns out that the replacement filters cost a fair whack too.
