Great Scott! Back to the Future actor Christopher Lloyd may be playing a major role in The Mandalorian Season 3. After months of rumours circulating online, the iconic actor has teased some involvement in the Star Wars show.
While there’s been no official announcement from anything Disney or Star Wars-related, Lloyd seemingly confirmed that he will indeed be appearing in the show.
Christopher Lloyd is “sworn to secrecy”
During a panel, Christopher Lloyd was outright asked by the presenter if he would be appearing in The Mandalorian Season 3. After taking in some of the applause, Lloyd said that “we’re all sworn to secrecy,” which is a pretty big indication that he will be appearing in the Star Wars Disney+ series.
As we all know, actors in any Disney production are taught to be very tight-lipped about upcoming projects. As Mr. Fantastic actor John Krasinski alluded to, the Disney snipers are always somewhere.
The Mandalorian has been no stranger to guest stars and it will be fun to see who Lloyd ends up playing. Knowing the current nature of Star Wars and guest stars, there’s a chance that he might just end up being a random alien or stormtrooper, albeit with a speaking role. Fans also want to see a beefier role for Lloyd to sink his teeth into but we’ll have to wait and see if that happens.

The Mandalorian Season 3 gets bigger and bigger
It’s clear that Disney and LucasFilm realize how important The Mandalorian Season 3 is going to be, so getting Christopher Lloyd in there is a fun choice, if nothing else. While little has been shared about the new season, we know that our lead Din Djarin might have to fight former ally and fellow Mandalorian Bo-Katan after inadvertently taking the Darksaber.
Little else has been revealed because Disney has been very paranoid about spoilers getting released in advance, especially after the climax of Avengers: Endgame was leaked ahead of time. While we aren’t sure if Christopher Lloyd is going to play a huge part in the new season, Disney will do anything to keep things under wraps and that’s likely why the actor is “sworn to secrecy.”
The Mandalorian Season 3 is expected to hit Disney+ on February 2023.
