Elon Musk is very public about his nerdy interests, naming his upcoming robot Optimus and posting about his favorite anime. It seems that Musk is letting the more questionable side of his geekdom out, recently promising to build catgirl robots.
Catgirls have been a fetish-like interest of many a geek, as their constant presence in anime and Western cartoons shows. With all of that in mind, one has to wonder why we would even need catgirl robots to begin with.
Elon Musk still wants to build catgirl robots
Jalopink reports that Elon Musk is still looking for people to work on his catgirl robots, in addition to Optimus. Apparently, these robots will have the ability to do menial tasks, much like the Optimus, but with a feline fetish.
"I mean, I did promise the internet that I’d make catgirls," Musk told Chris Anderson. "We could make a robot catgirl."
Musk is one of the richest people in the world, so if anyone can make this a reality it's him. Of course, why anyone would even want one of these things is beyond us, aside from disturbing fantasies.

Catgirl robots for sex?
Unfortunately, the topic of sex came up pretty quickly when Elon Musk decided to bring up catgirl robots for fun. As we mentioned previously, they’re a fetish that many nerds have and corporations make good money selling their merchandise, sadly.
"I think we’ll have like an interesting prototype sometime this year," Musk said. "We might have something useful next year, but I think quite likely within at least two years."
Hopefully, that prototype won’t be used in the ways we’re thinking of.
