The written content of the book in itself is a great read.

The contents contains an Introduction, Years of the Mammoth, Journey to Un’goro, Knights of the Frozen Throne, Kobolds and Catacombs, Single Player Mode, Hearthstone & Home and a Conclusion.

Aside from the gorgeous artwork you can spend hours drooling over, the passages give a backstory behind the intentions behind the themes and stories in Hearthstone.

It’s the perfect balance between art and written content!

Being the Blizzard geek that I am, getting to see the steps that were taken to make Hearthstone artwork is really amazing.

All of the images are super high definition and impressively detailed.

I was surprised to come across a page with a different texture to the others, there’s even pages with sketches on tracing paper, I loved this feature and thought it brought a different aspect to the book.
Overall, the artwork as it always is from Blizzard was chef's kiss... that is to say, magnifique.

Quality - Score 90

From the moment I took the book out of its packaging I knew that the production quality was top notch.

It’s clearly a hardback but the thickness of the cover, back and spine is impeccable. It would take some real battering to damage the outside of this book.

The cover even has a 3D type feature with the well-known Hearthstone emblem’s edges raised and a smooth texture on the actual symbol in the middle.

All the pages inside are shiny which really adds to the quality of the artwork.
