First Impressions

Logitech was kind enough to send over the blue iteration of the G305 for this review, and this is undoubtedly one of the nicest looking gaming mice Logitech has ever produced.  The mouse offers a unique shape compared to other Logitech mice such as the G703 and the G PRO. As well, the blue color palette chosen for this mouse is stellar in every regard.

If you have ever used a Logitech mouse before, you are well aware that these are quality products that will last an eternity for you.

Design/Ergonomics - Score 85

One of the most vital parts of any mouse, the G305 is one of the most uniquely shaped mice we have tested from Logitech. Upon initial use, it is easily recognizable that the mouse is designed for gamers with smaller hands. Fitting nicely within the hands, this mouse can be used in various mouse grips. So, no matter if you are a palm user or two fingers; the G305 should justify your preferred playstyle.

One aspect of the G305 that must be noted, however, is that the design is skewed differently than mice in regards to the width and how the mouse is composed from top to bottom. In short, if you are used to mice such as the G PRO or the Glorious Model O; then you may initially find the mouse to be offsetting at first.

This isn't to say that the G305 is an uncomfortable mouse, but one that may need some time to become accustomed to.

All in all, the design of the G305 is a fantastic alternative to 'traditional' mice that you may have already used, and it is one that we are more than happy to recommend to users looking to try something different.

Buttons - Score 80

The buttons on gaming mice are some of the most essential parts you should take into consideration when looking at purchasing a new mouse. The G305 takes some notes from other Logitech mice such as the G PRO, as the side buttons are tactile yet efficient when needed.

The scroll wheel is snappy and offers feedback when using it, and it is not one that you will be disappointed with.

Weight - Score 85

Sub 70 gram mice have become the new norm when it comes to wireless gaming mice. While the G305 sits just under 100 grams, it is a weight that is still comfortable to use while enduring longer gaming sessions.

It isn't a significant weight that will hinder performance, but if you are coming from a mouse such as the Model O or Final Mouse, you may need to adjust slightly.

Our Score

Pros

  • Color Variants
  • Price
  • Optimal For Smaller Hands
  • HERO Sensor

Cons

  • Ergonomics may offset some users
  • Not the G PRO

Priced at a measly $49.99 USD, you can not really go wrong with the Logitech G305 Lightspeed. Along with the stellar price point, the mouse is one that offers a lot of similar features as the G PRO; but at $100 USD less.

If you are not satisfied with your gaming mice at the moment and do not want to break the bank for one; we HIGHLY recommend the G305.

You will not be disappointed and we cannot wait to see what mice Logitech releases in 2021!
