Picking the right gaming keyboard is one of the hardest decisions that any gamer will have to make; with so many options on the market right now, one can find it hard to make up your mind.

ROCCAT’s signature gaming keyboard, the Vulcan 120 Aimo, is a full-size keyboard that can resolve all the issues you need with a new keyboard.

Build Quality - Score 90

ROCCAT has been known for building some of the sturdiest products in the gaming industry, and the Vulcan 120 Aimo is no exception. This is one of the standout features upon the first usage of the keyboard; the aluminum finished backplate is one of the best that I have felt in quite some time.

The packaged wrist rest is another key component of this keyboard; it adds an extra level of comfort, that not a lot of companies provide with their keyboards.

With the sturdy build quality, the Vulcan 120 Aimo is not a light-weight option if that is what you are in the market for.

Switches - Score 85

The Vulcan 120 Aimo is a full-size RGB backlit keyboard, that also has some nice added audio features on the top right of the board. Equipped with an audio dial, a mute key, and another media key; these are amazing additions for easier use while using the keyboard.

Along with the added media keys, the Vulcan also comes paired with a wrist rest; the wrist rest itself is a solid build. It does not stack up to the comfort that Razer provides with some of its keyboards, but it does the job nicely. You will not have any problems with the wrist rest, and it does make extended use of the keyboard a bit easier.

Keycaps - Score 85

The keycaps are perhaps the most unique feature with the Vulcan 120 Aimo, contrasting the style of keycap that we usually see on gaming keyboards. ROCCAT has used what they are calling “Titan Switches”; these are designed to give a shorter tactile feel when using them. As well, they appear to be a lot flatter than the standard keycap, which is apart of the shorter feedback time of the keycap.

Overall, the keycap designed is one of the most unique ones on the market right now; they offer a change of pace from the standard ones and they exceed my expectations in all regards.

RGB - Score 80

The travel time between keys was one of the best gaming experiences I have used in recent memory. Using the Titan Switches did not experience any issues and the design of the keycaps was one that should be adopted on other boards in the future.
