The next-gen of NVIDIA GeForce RTX cards will be upon us soon.

This is great news for PC gamers who have had to watch on jealously as the PS5 and Xbox Series X get all of the attention.

The price of any new bit of technology dictates how many people can realistically pick it up.

This is especially true now, because money is a lot tighter than ever before, so we really need things to be affordable if we're going to be able to buy them.

Well, the general consensus around the RTX 2080 Ti and its ilk is that they could, in fact, cost less than the last-gen of GPUs. This is because of some improvements in building processes and the technology within them.

Of course, the Ti is still likely to be around the £1,000 mark, which makes for a luxury purchase no matter how you look at it.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080 Ti is likely to be revealed very soon!

NVIDIA held a GeForce event on September 1, where the company chose to "usher in a new era, with a special presentation you won’t want to miss."

The event featured an address by NVIDIA's founder and CEO, Jensen Huang. During the event, Huang opted to "highlight the company’s latest innovations in gaming and graphics."

The GeForce RTX 3080 Ti was not featured during the event, but we'll hopefully see it announced later. Watch this space...
