While the PlayStation 5 is now officially out, many fans are still stuck playing on their PlayStation 4 consoles as they struggle to find a PS5 in stock or, for those in Europe, as they wait until November 19 to come.
Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X console's have seen unprecedented demand in 2020, something that won't change anytime soon, especially as we head into the Holiday season.
If you want to experience a part of the next-gen console launch early, a new game called PS5 Simulator, developed by Alex Grade, may be the perfect distraction until your actual console turns up.

What is PS5 Simulator?
Alex Grade's PS5 Simulator is an indie simulation title focused on trying to set up your brand-new PlayStation 5 console. The set up takes you through the unboxing, charging your DualSense controller, fixing your Wi-Fi, finding the fabled Knack 3, and that dreaded cable management.
Of course, like many other games in the simulation genre, PS5 Simulator is not as simple as it seems in terms of gameplay, controls, and gravity. With a lack of sockets near your TV, you will be forced to get pretty creative with your cable management, using an unsafe amount of cable extensions to get that PS5 up and running.
With a text-to-voice narration guiding you through the game, PS5 Simulator is a pretty hilarious experience that should take your mind off your lack of a PS5, at least for a short while.

PS5 Simulator is available to download for free from itch.io, with the game taking up 947MB. Unfortunately for PlayStation 4 owners, this is yet another PS5 experience you won't be able to participate in, as the game is only available on Windows.
