Tekken 8 Network Test lets you play as 16 characters on 5 stages


Bandai Namco’s Tekken 8 Closed Network Test is officially on the way. Following numerous rumours, the fighting game’s first closed network beta is coming to PC and console.

Revealed in a Bandai Namco press release, the upcoming Network Test will allow fans to try out the new fighting game before release.

Starting on the 21st July, 2023, the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test will allow players to compete in online ranked matches against friends and randoms. Furthermore, players will be able to try out a huge roster of characters before release.

When the test becomes available, players will be able to try out the following 16 fighters: Jin, Kazuya, Paul, Law, King, Lars, Jack 8, Xiaoyu, Nina, Leroy, Lili, Asuka, Hwoarang, Bryan and the newly announced Claudio.

Additionally, five fully completed stages will be available to fight on: Urban Square, Yakushima, Rebel Hangar, Sanctum, and Arena.

Tekken fans on PlayStation 5 consoles will be able to play the game before everyone else. The new fighting game’s closed network test will commence in two different phases: first on PS5 and then again on PS5, Xbox Series and PC.

The times for the Tekken 8 Closed Network Test are as follows:

  • Week 1 – PS5: 21st July 09:00 BST to 08:00 BST
  • Week 2 – PS5, Xbox Series, PC: 28th July 09:00 BST to 31st July at 08:00 BST

Tekken 8 doesn’t current have a concrete release date, but the new fighter is expected to release later this year or early 2024.
