Spy X Anya: Operation Memories is the first Spy X Family game on Nintendo Switch and it stars none other than the adorable Anya. This cozy title is filled with mini-games and photography, making perfect use of the anime license.

Operation Memories will have Anya forming a scrapbook during a vacation as part of an assignment from school. It’s not just photo taking, however, as Anya can also play card games with her classmates and do yoga with hot momma Yor. More mini-games are bound to show up, giving players a break from constantly taking photos.

Like a lot of these cozy games, Spy X Anya: Operation Memories will also have Anya and her Spy family going to various locations. Naturally, Anya can take some photos in these locations so that she can have a really diverse scrapbook.

It’s pretty low stakes overall but that’s the appeal of these cozy games and is a good use of the Spy X Family license. While the anime does have more exciting set pieces from time to time, this is a great way to use everyone in the show. Plus, who would want to see poor Anya get hurt in a video game?

With a cute artstyle and a perfect use of the Spy X Family license, Spy X Anya: Operation Memories should be a sleeper hit amongst fans. The game is scheduled to be released on Nintendo Switch sometime in 2024.
