The company announced that music videos will launch in a beta phase for 11 different countries. Like a lot of apps doing beta phases, this will be done to test the feature out before it rolls out to the rest of the world.

Due to this feature being new, music videos are currently limited to several artists. Ed Sheeran, Doja Car, and Ice Spice are some of the artists who will release music videos for the app, with more to come once the kinks are sorted out.
Playing the music videos on Spotify is an interesting experience, since users will have to pick the song and choose if they want the video version. If you’re in the process of listening to a song and want to watch that song’s music video, the song will restart. Users will also have to choose how they watch the video since most of them will be watching through their smartphones.
Only Premium members of the app will be able to view music videos, so anyone who is using the free version will need to upgrade for this feature. Granted, music videos aren’t as big as they used to be, though featuring on the app could change things for the better. For now, all we can say is that this is an interesting new feature for the app and fans can now do more things with it.
