Keep your eyes on the skyline, Insomniac's Spider-Man 2 PS5 game seems to be swinging into a September release. Following a number of leaks suggesting the game’s release date, even more evidence has arrived.

Prominent games industry journalist Jason Schreier, always a trusted source of rumours and information, revealed on Twitter that Insomniac’s superhero title is scheduled to release this September.

Discussing the recent delay of Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League game, Schreier revealed that Spider-Man 2’s September release date could be integral to the game’s pushback.

The news also seems to follow all other evidence that have been floating around pointing at the Spider-man 2 PS5 release date being in the Fall of 2023. It also follows the exciting live-action trailer which debuted earlier this year with a faux news report starring both Peter Parker and Miles Morales.

Alongside these latest leaks and rumors, earlier last month Hasbro PR had revealed that the game will not feature "any reference to the film [Across the Spiderverse] or multiverse". Luckily, the sequel to the hit PS5 title will stay grounded in the Spider-Man universe, with Peter and Miles battling known foes from the series.

Our previous guess that the game would release around November 2023 wasn't far off from the mark. Then again, Venom actor Tony Todd had also accidentally leaked the release window last month. The rumors had been been building up all around us for sure, like a spider's web. Insomniac's sequel seems to be gearing up to avoid that holiday rush and welcome consumers back after the holidays with all new adventures for our friendly neighbor.

Following the latest information, we would guess a proper gameplay trailer should not be far off in the distance now. Insomniac might want to get fans hyped for the release as soon as possible, so we might expect something to drop in the following few months.

Going off the studio's track record with games starring Marvel superhero, we are pretty sure that fans will be enthralled by the fascinating web of the latest entry in the series as well.
