Rumour - Cyberpunk 2077 DLC could be announced soon

A recent Reddit leak has pointed towards potential free and paid DLC launching for Cyberpunk 2077.

Redditor PricklyAssassin, found a number of leaked details on the Epic Store back in February, but only went public with them earlier on today.

The leak came from Epic changing the allocated server capacity for Cyberpunk 2077 from 100gb to 500gb. This shows the business is potentially prepping the future release of additional content.

This leaked news comes just over 100 days since the removal of the game from PSN, after a number of reported bugs and issues.

Cyberpunk 2077 DLC

The Epic Game Store listing did have 18 different DLC downloads announced, but after the capacity change it was reduced to 13. Ten of those DLC will be free to download, while the other three are paid.

There’s no further details on what the paid DLC packs may contain, or how substantial they may be. Based on The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, we can likely expect a number of smaller cosmetic DLC additions, side-quests and larger narrative driven campaigns.

There is a list of the potential free DLC:

  • Ripperdocs Expansion
  • Body Shops Expansion
  • Fashion Forward Expansion
  • Gangs of Night City
  • Body of Chrome
  • Rides of the Dark Future
  • The Relic
  • Neck Deep
  • Night City Expansion
  • Unnamed

CD Projekt Red announced there would be free DLC around Cyberpunk 2077’s launch, stating “free DLC will start hitting Night City in the coming months.”

It would appear as if those coming months could potentially be soon, based on the leak and the change in data allocation on Epic Game Store.

Launch issues

The DLC would have liked released earlier, had it not been for Cyberpunk 2077’s infamous release.

Hours after release, players across the world were reporting numerous bugs and performance issues across all versions of the game. Last-gen consoles were especially poor, as the base Xbox and PS4 consoles were simply not able to run the games.

This resulted in Sony removing the game from its storefront and issuing refunds to customers who requested them.
