Nvidia’s DLSS AI reconstruction tools help gamers reach high resolutions without sacrificing performance. With DLSS 3.0, Nvidia’s game-changing tech is being added to games quicker than ever before.

Revealed during a presentation at GDC 2023, Nvidia explained that developers are rapidly integrating its technology into new games. While early versions of DLSS have been added to a large selection of games, the software’s newest version is being picked up far faster than before.

Nvidia revealed that DLSS Frame Generation, a framerate interpreter included in DLSS 3, is already available in games such as Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered and Miles Morales. However, it’s quickly being added to a massive host of new games on PC.

28 released games with more in the works. Overall, the adoption of the new frame generation technology is 7X faster than that of DLSS 2.

In the coming months, Nvidia DLSS 3 is being added to numerous major releases. Diablo IV, Forza Horizon 5, Redfall and many more will all be adopting the technology to make gaming faster and clearer on Nvidia hardware.

Matt Wuebbling, vice president of global GeForce marketing at NVIDIA, said: “Neural graphics has revolutionized gaming since its introduction with NVIDIA DLSS, and we’re now taking it to new heights. PC gaming super-franchises such as Diablo and Forza Horizon and Bethesda’s new Redfall are raising the bar for image quality with stunning graphics while using DLSS to keep gameplay smooth as silk.”

At the time of writing, over 270 games and applications include some form of DLSS integration. From Adobe Creative software to AAA video games, the generative technology is used for far more than just gaming.

DLSS 3 has become a major part of rendering technology, and will continue to do so going forward. With the tech now being implemented into Unreal Engine 5, more and more PC games will be able to leverage Nvidia’s technology with ease, but where does that leave AMD?
