As the excitement of CES 2024 approaches, MSI is teasing a variety of limited-edition Monster Hunter hardware ahead of the series' 20th anniversary, with the designs said to be inspired by the iconic Rathalos monster from the long-running franchise.

The hype for the series is at an all-time high right now, with the Monster Hunter Wilds release date window announced during the Video Game Awards, and Monster Hunter World seeing a new peak in Steam players following it. Now is likely the best time to release some limited-edition gear, which MSI is certainly doing.

Announced via press release and available to see on the MSI website, MSI is releasing seven limited-edition hardware items for fans of the series to purchase once their available. A release date for the tech hasn't been announced just yet, however, we expect them to release around March 2024, which is when the official celebrations start.

The available items are:

  • MSI Crosshair 16 HX MONSTER HUNTER EDITION Gaming Laptop
  • MSI GeForce RTX™ 4060 Ti 8G GAMING SLIM MONSTER HUNTER EDITION Gaming Graphics Card
  • MSI FORCE GC30 MONSTER HUNTER EDITION Gaming Controller
  • MSI MAG CORELIQUID E360 MONSTER HUNTER EDITION Liquid Cooler
  • MSI MPG GUNGNIR 300 MONSTER HUNTER EDITION Gaming Case
  • MSI MPG Z790 EDGE MONSTER HUNTER EDITION Gaming Motherboard
  • MSI MAG 274QRF QD E2 MONSTER HUNTER EDITION Gaming Monitor

You can see an image of all of the products below, however, MSI warns that the designs are under supervision and are subject to change, but we imagine they're fairly close to the final products. Strangely, the 4060 Ti is likely to release after the 4070 Super release date, which has been leaked and rumored several times by now.

Personally, that motherboard and case looks incredible, and while the GPU looks quite nice, a 4060 Ti is a downgrade and comes at a bad time considering the 40-series Super refresh is expected to release soon. However, for those looking to not break the bank and pick up some Monster Hunter gear, it could be a no-brainer.

The prices of the products haven't been revealed just yet either, however, we expect the official launch date and prices to be announced during CES 2024. However, if you've been looking for an excuse to get some new hardware as a Monster Hunter fan, this could be the best time.
