Michael Keaton's Batman suit teased by The Flash director

Director of the upcoming The Flash film, Andy Muschietti teased a look at Michael Keaton’s new Batman suit on Instagram yesterday.

The film, which will reportedly release some time in 2022, will star Ezra Miller as The Flash. The speedy superhero will attempt to go back in time in an effort to stop the murder of his parents.

During the course of his travel through time, The Flash will encounter numerous DC characters including multiple versions of Batman.

According to numerous reports, Michael Keaton and Ben Affleck will star as their respective Batman characters in the film. Muschietti posted a teaser of the suit yesterday (June 4).

The teaser potentially hints at a darker theme for The Flash, as Batman’s iconic symbol is covered in blood.

Keaton first donned the suit in 1999’s Batman, and then wore it again in the 1992 sequel Batman Returns.

Muschietti has teased a number of images from the sets over the past few months, as the show officially entered production in April.

The Flash

The Flash movie will release March 2022, and will act as a soft-reboot for the DC universe. It will act as a bridge between numerous DC characters, tying them all together in one overarching plot.

Speaking about the movie to IGN, producer Barbara Muschietti said: “It's going to be fun and exciting and there are a lot of DC characters in it.”

"Flash is the superhero of this film because he is the bridge between all of these characters and timelines. And in a way, it restarts everything and doesn't forget anything,” she added.
