One insider Waititi’s new movie reportedly claimed the relationship is: “not exactly the image they're looking to project in relation to one of their biggest franchises.”

Taika is well-known as being a bit of a party animal, much to Disney's knowledge. However, the actor’s relationship is supposedly crossing a line in the eyes of company bosses. As such, Disney is reportedly reprimanding the filmmaker for his relationship – even though it's none of their business.

Will this affect Thor: Love and Thunder

Marvel's upset at Taika Waititi's happy relationship shouldn't have an impact on the upcoming Thor movie. However, it's not clear if Disney's want to control the actor's love life will affect his future at Marvel Studios.

Taika Waititi will be releasing Thor: Love and Thunder May 6th, 2022. The movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Tessa Thompson, Natalie Portman, Christian Bale and Russell Crowe. The cast of Guardians of the Galaxy will also appear in the film for an indeterminate amount of time.
