Popular YouTuber Markiplier has essentially spoiled his appearance in Blumhouse’s upcoming Five Nights at Freddy’s movie. While he didn’t outright say that there are plans to put him in the film, his recent reaction could have been more vague.

During an interview with Variety about his upcoming Spotify podcast, the YouTuber was asked if he would be appearing in the video game adaptation. His response had a lot of “I can’t say anything about that,” essentially saying that he will be in the horror movie.

“Everyone wants to know, there was a lot of confusion. Yeah, I can’t say anything particular about that. There was a lot of scheduling conflict. And I can’t say anything,” Markiplier tells Variety.

Markiplier saying “scheduling conflict” and “I can’t say anything” are dead giveaways that he will be in the Five Nights at Freddys movies. There’s also a chance that discussions are still ongoing for him to cameo in the movie, with some fans even petitioning that he should be the film’s poor security guard.

For those that might not know, Markiplier helped make Five Nights at Freddy’s a popular franchise in the first place. The YouTuber‘a various videos reacting and being scared by the game’s creepy animatronics have garnered many millions of views. Markiplier is just as synonymous to the game as MatPat from Game Thoery, who has created endless FNaF content over the years.

Right now, there aren’t a lot of details on Blumhouse Productions’ adaptation of the popular gaming franchise. Josh Hutcherson and Matthew Lillard were revealed as the movie’s main characters not too long ago. Previous casting news has also hinted at the movie being based on Security Breach, the most recent game in the franchise, but nothing else has been revealed.
