Mark Zuckerberg believes his Metaverse will succeed by the 2030s

Mark Zuckerberg Metaverse succeed

We’ve all spent money on things we’ve regretted and then spent too much time defending. Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has taken that to the extreme with his disastrous Metaverse project.

Across 2022, the Facebook creator lost half of his wealth chasing his Metaverse dream. Due to plummeting stocks, The Zuck lost over $70 billion in personal value.

Nevertheless, the CEO has yet to give up on The Metaverse. In fact, Zuckerberg is still dedicated to making his employees create the virtual world. (Even if they despise using the Horizon Worlds app.)

Zuckerberg discussed the dedication to realising the Metaverse dream at the recent DealBook Summit. Via CoinTelegraph, the Meta CEO reiterated his plan for a ten-year journey to develop the virtual world.

“I think things look very different on a ten-year horizon than the zone were in for the next-few years,” Zuckerberg said in a remote appearance. “I’m still completely optimistic about all the things that we’ve been optimistic about.”

The CEO believes that his vision will be commonplace by the year 2030. Once Metaverse technology advances, Zuckerberg hopes that his company will be the ones to support the future.

“We’re not going to be here in the 2030s,” he said. “Communicating and using computing devices that are exactly the same as what we have today. And someone has to build that.”

Virtual Reality Metaverse tech is going up against augmented reality for the future of technology. Currently, bids are set on augmented reality glasses to take over the smartphone, but both have large hurdles to cross.
