Hogwarts Legacy spoilers are making their way online, as detractors of the game do what they can to defy J.K. Rowling. In order to stick it to Rowling for her history of transphobic comments and actions, online protestors are trying to ruin the game for the author’s supporters.

We won’t post any of the spoilers that have been shared on Twitter but they’re fairly easy to find for those who are curious. These aren’t light spoilers either, as the fate of certain characters and identities of bosses that haven’t been revealed is part of these.

Unless you’re not planning to play the game, don’t go on Twitter and start looking for these Hogwarts Legacy spoilers. Admittedly, video games are more about the journey and fun gameplay loop but this is a story in the Harry Potter universe and many want to see this through.

This does seem like a new low for those doing this, though we can’t actually blame them for doing so. After all, Hogwarts Legacy is already one of the biggest games of all time, getting good reviews and a ton of coverage from content creators. Even if J.K. Rowling isn’t part of the game’s creative, she does benefit from this and hasn’t changed her stance about trans folk.

Obviously, this is a very complex issue. While we’re not fans of people sharing Hogwarts Legacy spoilers and bullying Twitch streamers, trans people are in more danger than ever and Rowling’s comments haven’t helped.

Personally, we won’t blame anyone for wanting to live out their Harry Potter fantasies. Gamers should be able to play what they want in peace. However, Rowling’s politics continue to stay controversial and they can’t blame activists who want to boycott the game.

Gamers who can accept the fact that their money will go to Rowling can pick up Hogwarts Legacy now on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC. The game is also coming to PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch later this year.
