Hayden Christensen reimagined as the Darth Vader we know in awesome fan image

Hayden Christensen might have spouted a rather evil look by the end of Revenge of the Sith, but he still didn't look like Darth Vader. The evil yellow eyes and burnt skin were in full effect, but the ashen, ghost-like look was absent.

With Hayden Christensen set to return as Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, we could potentially see the actor’s face again. If we do, will we see a full recreation of the original trilogy appearance or will it be something new? Whatever the case, it's interesting to imagine Star Wars' golden boy in a new light.

What Hayden Christensen could look like as Darth Vader

Instead of imagining what Hayden Christensen could look like as Darth Vader in Obi-Wan Kenobi, we can look at the work of artists. Digital artist Barrett Digital recently created an image of the Star Wars actor as the dreaded Sith villain.

The image is a front-facing portrait of the actor in a full OG trilogy Darth Vader look. The egg-shaped dusty-grey face and yellow-red eyes are both prominent. However, it's the fine details that stand out most. Just like the end of Revenge of the Sith, Christensen’s Vader has hotspots of damaged skin cells gashes across his face.

Barrett Digital's design is a perfect look for Christensen’s Vader. Hopefully, when Obi-Wan Kenobi releases on Disney+, we'll get to see a design somewhere close to this level of quality.

When will we see Obi-Wan Kenobi?

Obi-Wan Kenobi has officially begun production. Directed by Deborah Chow, who helmed two episodes of The Mandalorian Season 2, the show is going to be a six-episode miniseries. However, each episode will be an hour in length.

Currently, there's no release date scheduled for the Star Wars show. That said, the show is expected to release either at the end of this year or sometime in 2022. Of course, there is a bunch of Star Wars coming in the meantime such as The Bad Batch and The Book of Boba Fett.
