The creators of Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail are allegedly making a new Star Wars game. Following the popularity of miHoYo’s anime adventures, the new Jedi game could be a huge success.
According to a post from 4chan (via Reddit), this potential game from miHoYo will be set 300 years after The Rise of Skywalker. Like the upcoming movie with Rey, this game will supposedly focus on a new Jedi order and some kind of looming threat.
Gameplay-wise, the title has been described as an action RPG but with the “closed world” exploration seen in Honkai: Star Rail. Honestly, it sounds like a mix of Honkai and Genshin, which could be ideal to many gamers. Furthermore, seeing the Star Wars universe in an anime-like artstyle would also be pretty interesting.
The leak also claims that the Genshin developer’s new game comes after the popularity of Star Wars Visions on Disney Plus. Disney and LucasFilm are keen to explore the popularity of anime amidst the Star Wars audience.
