The Flash and Fantastic Beasts actor Ezra Miller has reportedly been arrested for a second time in Hawaii. After being arrested for harassment, the superhero actor has been held for allegedly assaulting a woman.
Why was Ezra Miller arrested again?
According to a statement from the Hawaii Police Department, Miller was arrested for assault on April 19th, 2022. Police officers are said to have responded to an assault call at 1:10am in Pāhoa to a private residence.
Miller is said to have thrown a chair at a 26-year-old woman “after being asked to leave”. According to the report, the actor became “irate” and launched the chair, resulting in a “half-inch” wound on the victim’s forehead. The victim refused treatment at the time.
Ezra Miller reportedly left the residence after the incident. Police found the actor on a nearby road and arrested them. Afterwards, the actor was released, but police claim that the situation is still an “active investigation”.
In the police report, the actor was formally charged with “second-degree assault”. However, there appears to be no repercussions for the event at the time of writing, and Miller is still attached to several projects.
Will the actor continue to get work?
With the large number of controversies surrounding Ezra Miller, many are wondering if the actor will continue to get work in Hollywood. Miller's most recent released work — Fantastic Beasts: The Secrets of Dumbledore — has just launched in cinemas despite numerous controversies.
However, many are more interested in Miller’s future in the DC universe. At the time of writing, the actor is the face of DC’s connected universe in their role of The Flash. As the controversies surrounding Miller pile up, fans wonder whether or not The Flash will be their final time playing the speedster.
Of course, Miller’s two months of arrests and complaints in Hawaii are not the only controversies surrounding the actor. Back in April 2020, Miller was recorded choking a female fan in a viral video. However, no repercussions arose.
