Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is coming out this September and will be going out with a bang, fixing everything players hated about it. This is one of the biggest overhauls we’ve seen in video games and we can’t wait to get our hands on it.
Speaking with VGC, CD Projekt Red talked about all of the major overhauls being made to make the game a lot better. Perks and skill trees are being redone, vehicle combat is now a thing, better AI, a new police system, and so much more.
If that wasn’t incredible enough, factions will fight and the police can get involved. That adds a life-like element to the game that its base package lacked, even after updates. Knowing that this is only one of many improvements coming in Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty is tantalizing.
“All the core, main systems of the game have been redone or updated in a major way,” Creative Director Pawel Sasko told VGC. “The biggest ones are the perks and skill trees, which have been rebuilt completely, and the next one is we’ve added vehicle combat which enables new car chases.”
Interestingly, Sasko will be leaving CD Projekt Red soon. But before he does, the developer wants to make sure that the game is in the best shape it can be, which seems to have been accomplished. Fans were already calling the game good after those major patches but it’s even better now.
Fans will remember how the game launched in one of the worst states possible and all of that criticism was deserved. Guns wouldn’t load, crashes were frequent, and it was one of the worst-running games ever released. It got so bad that Sony actually de-listed it from the PlayStation Store and no one blamed them for it.

However, with the release of Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty on September 26, this is a literal game changer. Players will be able to pick this up on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC.
