It looks like Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will be shadow-dropped on PC anc console next month. CD Projekt Red has yet to give an official release date for the expansion, only saying that the extra content would be coming this year.

The leak comes from Polish podcasters Rock and Borys (translations from Reddit), who was responsible for numerous CD Projekt Red leaks. Apparently, various sources within the studio have confirmed to the duo that Phantom Liberty will be coming out between June and July, alongside a Summer Game Fest announcement.

Both podcasters have claimed that Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty would be coming out this June numerous times, so this could be a possibility. However, even with a good track record, fans should take this with a grain of salt since nothing is confirmed yet. After all, bugs within the game can be found and minds can be changed.

With all that being said, it’s worth mentioning that CD Projekt Red Community Manager Marcin Momot commented on this story. Although he said that Phantom Liberty details would come out this June, the Community Manager refused to comment on the rumored release date. Granted, that doesn’t officially confirm a June or July release but it is interesting.

After a rocky launch that angered plenty of gamers, CD Projekt Red probably wants to release Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty in pristine condition. Development on the DLC has doubled down, to the point that a multiplayer mode planned for the game ended up getting scrapped.

Numerous updates and patches have officially made Cyberpunk 2077 a good game. CD Projekt Red also seems to be in good graces with the gaming community, especially after announcing a remake of The Witcher 1. We’re also getting The Witcher 4 but expect that game to be in development for a long time.

Fans can now purchase Cyberpunk 2077 on PS5, Xbox Series, and PC with little to no errors. Although the PS4 and Xbox One versions were also patched, it might be best to avoid those versions as they suffered the most.
