The Rock's in-development Black Adam movie reportedly aims up to restore the SnyderVerse. With Dwayne Johnson given full creative control by AT&T, the new movie will setup plans to involve the wider DCEU.
Reported by leakers at Geekosity, the Black Adam movie will reference Snyder Cut events in a bid to put the universe back on track. However, this will all be at the behest of HBO Max instead of Warner Bros’ cinematic teams.
How Black Adam will Restore the SnyderVerse
As far as the theatrical nature of this movie goes, Warner Bros is seeking to end the SnyderVerse. The Flash is poised to be the final entry in the cinematic universe and WB will instead focus on solo movies. However, AT&T have different plans.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been given full control of his upcoming Black Adam movie. Reportedly, the actor is using this opportunity to revive Snyder's vision while also setting up a dream project.
Johnson has stated in the past that he would love to produce Man of Steel 2 with Henry Cavill in the role. Furthermore, he wants to cement Black Adam as the DCEU's baddest villain by taking on Superman and Snyder's Justice League in a potential sequel.

Will this method work?
Warner Bros' hold on the SnyderVerse is a “tug of war" according to leakers. While AT&T seem eager to please fans, WB wants to pursue individual movies like Joker and The Batman. WB is already making the movies confusing with sequels to Aquaman and Shazam while abandoning the wider universe.
Black Adam will be referencing the Snyder Cut as well as Daekseid, so the movie will be setting up a universe for the title. Unfortunately, there’s no knowing if the future Johnson and Snyder both want to create will ever release.
As for the superheroes’ actors, WB is already planning for a new Superman. There's already a new Batman with Robert Pattinson and there’s reportedly plans to replace Ezra Miller as The Flash. Only Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman and Jason Momoa's Aquaman appear to be keeping their roles.
