Baldur’s Gate 3 looks like it’s going to be the ultimate Dungeons & Dragons video game. While preparing for the PC release, a fan-made character creator lets players make their OC ahead of the game.
On the game’s subreddit, user SmokkeHearb revealed that they made their own character creator to help fans pre-plan for release. SmokkeHearb based this character creator on the Early Access options and what’s been confirmed for release.
While the character creator has some issues, fans have enjoyed using this website to get ready for the game. It also helps that the user is pretty open to feedback and has updated the character creator several times already.
Admittedly, this doesn’t hold a candle to the actual Baldur’s Gate 3 character creator since this focuses on character race, class, and skills. Choosing what players want for their character’s hair, noses, and unmentionables will happen in the game.
Still, it’s a solid way to get ready for the game and maybe even a future DnD campaign. Knowing the basics of your character is fundamental since players will have to keep building on everything here once the game is released.
Creating a character will be really important, as they will impact the game’s story. Larian Studios already hyped up the 170+ hours of cutscenes players can experience. The same can be said for its endings, which there are 17,000 of, showing just how choice-centric this RPG is.
Your character will also be involved with plenty of romance and sexual endeavors, sometimes with a bear. Hilariously, co-op can lead to your friends hanging in the background while more intimate moments happen. This happened quite a bit during the game’s Early Access and we expect more of that in the final release.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is coming to PC this week on August 3, while the PS5 version comes out on September 6.
