Baldur’s Gate 3 just came out on PC and the RPG is already a huge hit with gamers. Larian’s new RPG has peaked at over 470,000 concurrent players on Steam, which is a monumental achievement for any game

The ever-reliable SteamDB confirms that the new RPG game peaked at 472,136 concurrent players. While the number has dropped a bit since peak time, there are still over 200,000 gamers playing the game.

Unsurprisingly, the game is also a huge hit on Twitch, with many wanting to see the game in action. On Twitter, Benji-Sales reported that reached #1 on Twitter with over 450,000 viewers watching. The Twitter user also confirmed that it has outperformed Resident Evil 4 remake and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor on Twitch.

What makes all of this surprising isn’t the quality of Baldur’s Gate 3 but the quantity. Fans need 150GB of storage for the game, so they must have had really fast internet. Considering how there was no pre-loading for the game, the wait was extra long.

It was a worthy wait, as Larian’s RPG is already being heralded as one of this year’s best games. Fans were already falling in love with the game when it first came out on Early Access. Knowing that it surpassed its highly-popular beta phase is already a revelation to many.

Gamers are definitely enjoying the game and it will be interesting to see how long they play it for. There are over 170 hours of cutscenes and 17,000 endings, so this is going to keep RPG fans busy.

Some of the lewd advertising also helped since Baldur’s Gate 3 is an extremely horny game. Many thought that the bear sex was peak but there’s much more nasty things to look forward to. The amount of horniness shown is a big indicator that this studio loves Dungeons & Dragons.
