Razer Halo Infinite peripherals teased: Razer and 343 Industries team up for gaming hardware based on the new Halo game

In case you've been living under a rock for the past week, Halo Infinite was unveiled with a gameplay trailer at the latest Xbox Games Showcase. And while the game's graphics have come into question, there's no doubting that the hype is real for the next Halo game, which will hit Xbox One, Xbox Series X and PC by the end of the year.

Now, the game's developer 343 Industries and gaming hardware titan Razer have announced a partnership to produce a range of officially licensed Halo Infinite peripherals to release alongside the game. The Razer Halo Infinite range, while not confirmed will likely include branded controllers, mice, headsets and keyboards.

You can just see the excitement on his face...

As the biggest launch title for the Xbox Series X, it's no surprise to see this collaboration happen. This is not the first time Razer has partnered with a Microsoft development studio, either. The company notably teamed up with The Coalition to produce a line of peripherals for Gears 5 last year, including headsets, mice and keyboards.

The Razer Halo Infinite range is promised to appeal to both console and PC players. So, a mix of peripherals between Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Windows is on the cards. Here's hoping for a Master Chief-branded Xbox One Elite Controller and Razer Nari Ultimate headset!

"I need a weapon. Oh, a mouse? Yeah, that'll do nicely."

There are no concrete details yet, but judging by Razer's previous collabs we can expect to see Halo Infinite-branded headsets, mice, keyboards and mouse mats. And if the company's Star Wars Stormtrooper range from last year is anything go by, fans will be very happy with the results.

According to GameSpot, Razer hinted that "its previous Gears 5 line is a good example of what to expect from the upcoming Halo Infinite series." Hopefully that doesn't rule out a branded controller.

Speaking about the collaboration, 343 Industries Head of Halo Transmedia Kiki Wolfkill stated: "We're thrilled to be partnering with Razer to create this line of high-quality peripherals that embody the Halo brand while also delivering on the performance our fans expect across multiple platforms."

Razer SVP and General Manager Bob Ohlweiler added: "Halo has a rich and powerful franchise history, and Razer is honored to be working with 343 Industries and Xbox to support its launch and the fan community."

Yes please, more of this thanks!

Right now, all we know is that the new peripherals will come out some time in Q4 2020. That's the same timescale we have for the Xbox Series X console and the Halo Infinite game itself. It's likely that the products will be released on the same day as the game. However, this could of course change.

In terms of price, the Razer Halo Infinite peripherals will naturally cost more than their standard counterparts. The Gears 5 version of the Mamba wireless mouse, for instance, retails at £129.99 compared to the base model's £99.99 price tag. In the US, they are priced at $129.99 and $99.99, respectively.
